JPMorgan Promotes Economic Opportunity in Washington Region

In 2018, JPMorgan announced new investments in the Greater Washington, D.C., region to help support economic growth. The bank committed $4 billion over five years for regional home and small business lending and increased lending by nearly 50 percent to $500 million over five years to construct and maintain affordable rental housing in low- and moderate- income communities.

Wells Fargo Supports Sustainable Housing in Washington, DC

In 2019, Wells Fargo launched a $7.1 million NeighborhoodLIFT program in Washington, D.C. and Prince George’s County, MD, in partnership with NeighborWorks America, to support sustainable housing. Through the Wells Fargo NeighborhoodLIFT program, more than 22,000 homeowners have been created to date, and $475 million has been invested into launching new programs in support of sustainable housing.

Citi’s Community Progress Makers Fund

The Community Progress Makers Fund is a $20 million, two-year initiative by the Citi Foundation to support high-impact community organizations that are driving local economic opportunities. The initiative’s expansion in DC has extended investment and support to organizations including Building Bridges Across the River, Byte Back, Groundswell, Latino Economic Development Center, and Mary’s Center.
