Citi Salutes Network
The Citi Salutes program develops partnerships with community organizations to support military families throughout the country and gives veteran employees formalized peer-to-peer support. In 2017, the Citi Salutes Atlanta chapter provided employment mentorship to several hundred military veteran college students seeking to transition to the private sector. Citi employs more than 2,000 veterans.
JPMorgan Invests in Small Businesses and Affordable Housing in Underserved Communities
JPMorgan Chase awarded a $4 million grant to Equity Atlanta Collaborative, a group of nonprofits that provide targeted loan capital and consulting services for affordable housing projects and small businesses in underserved communities in Atlanta. The group is focused on creating or preserving over 700 affordable housing units and establishing over 1,000 jobs through small business and housing development.
JPMorgan Invests in Youth to Increase Economic Mobility
In 2018, JPMorgan awarded a $75,000 grant to MDC to support the Network for Southern Economic Mobility, a group of Southern cities, including Savannah, committed to increasing economic mobility for young adults in the lowest income brackets. City leaders receive customized coaching, learn about governmental systems change, and identify strategies to eliminate barriers to economic mobility.
