Well Fargo Supports Area Nonprofits
In 2019, Wells Fargo donated $30,000 to Midtown Partners, Inc., to complete a development plan for its Creative Economy Initiative to support businesses in Jackson neighborhoods. The fund also fostered access to the Opportunity Finance Network, with mentorship programs, an online learning community, and other collaborative efforts.
Morgan Stanley Provides Funding for Hunger-Relief Programs
In 2019, Morgan Stanley announced a new grant to Feeding America to support Mississippi Food Network in Jackson. These funds support hunger-relief programs that deliver food assistance and healthy meals to children and families. Employees are also volunteering at local Feeding America network food banks as part of Feeding Kids Around the Clock.
Wells Fargo Supports Sustainable Housing in Hattiesburg
In 2019, Wells Fargo launched a NeighborhoodLIFT program in Mississippi, in partnership with NeighborWorks America, to support sustainable housing. The Salvation Army of Hattiesburg will receive $30,000 for the Center of Hope Shelter transitional housing program, which provides emergency shelter and support services to men, women and families and helps them get back into permanent housing.
Goldman Sachs in 2016 provided a grant to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston from the Goldman Sachs Gives Community College Fund, which was created to strengthen community college endowments in support of financial aid. This program builds on Goldman Sachs’ commitment to advancing community colleges in the United States.
