Letter: Market Access for U.S. Financial Services Providers in China Needed

The Engage China Coalition, which includes the Financial Services Forum, is asking the Trump Administration to continue to work to secure full market access for the United States and all other non-Chinese banking, securities, fund management and insurance companies conducting business in China. Breaking down barriers to market access and ensuring financial services is fully integrated into the U.S.-China relationship will help ensure the industry is better equipped to meet the demands of the 21st century global economy, the group said in a letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. The Coalition’s comments come in advance of this week’s G-20 meeting in Argentina, where President Donald Trump is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi.
